Darcy Elman is a certified
Alexander Teacher practicing in the Bay Area
for nineteen years. She graduated from the Alexander Training Institute of
San Francisco in 1988. She is an expert in movement education, and posture
and brings a deep commitment to the somatic process to her work. Darcy is
Certified in Visionary Cranio Sacral Therapist.
She has been on the teaching
staff at Quan Yin Acupuncture Clinic, Dr. Michael Bronshvag Medical Group,
Center Strength Pilates, and Rolling Hills Fitness. She majored in dance at
the University
of Maryland.
She travels nationally teaching
classes in The Alexander Technique as well as visionary work. In the past
several years Darcy taught improved posture classes for several ergonomic
departments in corporations.
Darcy has been published in
Ground Works, Stories of Embodiment. She currently maintains a practice in Santa Rosa, CA and Fairbanks, Alaska.
